Thanks to those in Blendon Township who have put a needed spotlight on the dangerous lithium ion battery plant, and thanks to the Blendon Board for placing the 2nd Round of Campbell Resolutions on tonight’s Agenda, like you did the 1st Round and unanimously passed it, encouraging the County Board to as well, ultimately resulting in the Trump Administration’s order.

The “Save The Campbell” plan to replace Consumers Energy with a locally controlled electric cooperative in Ottawa County is a central strategy to thwart the Net Zero agenda. An Ottawa County member-owned electric cooperative can keep our fossil fuel plants like the Campbell. It can deprive Key Capture of a needed party to contract with. Michigan’s PA 233 law complicates other routes to thwart Net Zero because Key Capture has the legal option of bypassing Blendon and getting the MPSC to do what it wants.

More and more Ottawa County citizens are coming to realize just how bad the Net Zero Agenda is for us, not only in terms of grid reliability and cost, but also in terms of the dangers with a growing number of massive lithium ion battery storage plants. The reality is that these battery plants are far more environmentally dangerous than the Campbell, but since they only store energy for 4 hours, they do not solve the solar/wind weakness of variable energy generation. Such battery plants are totally unnecessary and wasteful if we keep our combo gas/coal fossil fuel plants which can adjust electric generation to meet electric demand without any need for battery storage plants. It is disingenuous for Key Capture to be talking about using it with Campbell when the whole plan of Net Zero has been to demolish the Campbell this year.

We need to cut off the money train that funds the Net Zero Agenda’s dangerous battery plant and solar panel field developments in Ottawa County, as well as seeks premature demolition of the Campbell. The money train begins with outrageously expensive and rising electric utility bills that Consumers Energy charges their customersin order to fund their aggressively pursued Net Zero Agenda. The Whitmer-appointed MPSC rewards Consumers Energy executives and investors handsomely to aggressively pursue the Net Zero Agenda. Flush with that money from electric rate payers, Consumers Energy enters into contracts with globalist corporations to build massive dangerous battery storage plants and solar panel field developments in Ottawa County and across Michigan that bypass local control via Michigan’s PA 233 law.

We can by God’s grace cut off this money train by exploring the replacement of Consumers Energy in Ottawa County with our own locally controlled electric cooperative, seeking the assistance of the Trump Administration, and perhaps partnering with an AI data center to use a portion of the Campbell’s electric to help with financing and residential rate reductions. Zeeland’s Electric Cooperative has shown a locally controlled electric cooperative can be successfully run at half the price of Consumers Energy residential rates.

Georgetown, Jamestown, and Wright Township Boards have already passed this new round of “Save The Campbell” Resolutions, and there are good indications other township boards will be passing them.  We would request you pass them tonight.
