The next logical step is to join in the effort to get local control of our electric grid via a locally elected electric cooperative board.
Indeed, if townships do not take this step, they may end up like Saline Township and like Cohoctah Township in being forced to accept what they really do not want. We need the additional tool of local control of our grid, since Consumers Energy and DTE under MPSC regulation have shown they cannot be trusted to do what is in the local interest.
