Consumers Energy rep Richard Houtteman is scheduled to present the case for 2025 closure and demolition. My opportunity to rebut him will be the comment period. I plan to be there like I have been at many town board meetings, presenting the “Save The Campbell” case. Frankly, the Consumers Energy case is full of half-truths:
It is my understanding that the County Board is trying to get a rep from MISO or NERC to testify before them at another meeting. Both MISO and NERC have issued warnings about closures and advised their delay.
It is the 11th hour, but I am thankful that the Campbell issue is on the agenda of Board meetings. As I stated in their latest Board meeting, now is the time for them to step up and “Save The Campbell”. Step one is passing a resolution, and if Consumers Energy fails to heed it then litigation is the next step.
