The “Save The Campbell” effort calls on all township boards and the county board in Ottawa County to join in supporting this 2nd round of Campbell Resolutions. Consumers Energy executives continue to press forward with their Net Zero Agenda, and we should take steps to try not to let them get away with it to our harm.  Zeeland’s electric cooperative has shown a locally controlled electric cooperative can be successfully run at half the price of Consumers Energy residential rates.

This 2nd round of Campbell Resolutions asks Consumers Energy to adopt a sound energy path so its customers are not hurt, and it starts the information-gathering process of local electric coop control of the Campbell and electric if Consumers Energy refuses to change course.

We also appreciated the opportunity to speak before the Allendale Township Board tonight, requesting them to join in this 2nd round of Campbell Resolutions.

This decision by the Georgetown Township Board follows a large outcry in Blendon Township and surrounding areas about the planned massive lithium ion battery plant there as part of the Net Zero Agenda.
