The Chester Township Board unanimously passed the 2nd Round of Campbell Resolutions.
The following 7 townships have thus passed the 2nd Round of Campbell Resolutions:
- Georgetown
- Jamestown
- Wright
- Polkton
- Zeeland Township
- Blendon
- Chester
We are optimistic more will follow, and we are encouraging the County Board to as well.
The exploratory committee is forming to investigate the possibility of locally controlled electric via an electric cooperative for those parts of Ottawa County currently with Consumers Energy.
Ottawa County needs a locally controlled electric grid with generating capacity in excess of usage to protect ourselves against an energy policy that even the CEO of NERC calls a five-alarm fire.
