At least $1 billion was expended by Consumers Energy customers to make the Campbell one of the cleanest coal plants in the nation, yet Consumers Energy executives want to sock it to these customers and close the plant in 2025. The effect of the anti-polluting equipment has been significant, such as reflected in the table […]

Resolution Request of Township and County Boards to Prevent a Consumers Energy Rate Hike By Offsetting Campbell Costs With Net Zero Expenditure ReductionsResolution Request of Township and County Boards to Prevent a Consumers Energy Rate Hike By Offsetting Campbell Costs With Net Zero Expenditure Reductions
Subject: Resolution Request of Township Boards and County Board of Ottawa County Dear Board Members: Consumers Energy is indicating it will raise customer rates to keep the Campbell open in accordance with the Trump Administration executive order, when it should instead be offsetting those costs with reductions in its Net Zero agenda expenditures so that […]
By the authority vested in it by the Michigan Constitution, the Ottawa County Board should pass a resolution calling on Consumers Energy not to seek cost recovery from customers of costs to keep Campbell open, but instead to reduce its significant expenditures on executing its “aggressive green energy plans”. If it refuses, like it likely will, then the Ottawa County Board should help townships pursue local control of the Campbell and electric in Ottawa County.By the authority vested in it by the Michigan Constitution, the Ottawa County Board should pass a resolution calling on Consumers Energy not to seek cost recovery from customers of costs to keep Campbell open, but instead to reduce its significant expenditures on executing its “aggressive green energy plans”. If it refuses, like it likely will, then the Ottawa County Board should help townships pursue local control of the Campbell and electric in Ottawa County.
It should be noted that some parts of Ottawa County already successfully have local control of electric. This may be an especially opportune time, because there may be an interested data center willing to help in the financing of Campbell acquisition.

MISO and NERC have been warning for many months about the dangers of the Net Zero plan which Consumers Energy/MPSC duo has us on. There are significant technical problems with the Net Zero plan. The skyrocketing electric costs in the UK of Net Zero are a warning. The recent blackout in Spain and Portugal are […]

One technical problem is described at https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1PfKaGh1tQ/?mibextid=wwXIfr. A related technical problem is described at […]

Our warnings about the regional grid and the need to “Save The Campbell” have not been “goofiness” as so many have asserted, nor have our warnings about the future Great Day of Judgment by Jesus Christ and the need for the USA to return to our founding Christian legal order been “goofiness”. Louisiana is part […]

Louisiana is part of our regional grid, and it is starting to experience rolling outages (load shedding): https://subscriber.politicopro.com/article/eenews/2025/05/27/trump-keeps-michigan-coal-plant-alive-00369769 The folly of the Net Zero agenda is already starting to be felt, as NERC and MISO had warned about. Frankly, even I am surprised of this development so soon. Load shedding is common in South Africa […]
