We are likely at the cusp of a technological revolution in productivity with AI robots like the Tesla Optimus, as well as AI in general: https://youtu.be/rdslGgaBqRc?si=N9MPrD8ZpvE5ljaL This increase in productivity can in turn significantly reduce costs, plus allow manufacturing to reside in the USA. No more will there be a labor cost advantage in other countries, plus we will have sufficient labor capacity to produce our own goods in the USA, especially given the USA’s wealth of natural resources. That wealth includes an abundance of natural gas and coal to power the AI data centers necessary to run them reliably, economically, and environmentally, until we have unlocked nuclear fusion to inexpensive and reliable power generation, as well as designed and built economic nuclear fission plants.

In order to serve Americans, rather than make Americans its slave, it is important that AI data centers and the AI technological revolution be locally controlled via elected representatives of local citizens, controlling the local electric grid, local data centers and local electric attachments to the grid. We have recommended the vehicle of a locally elected electric cooperative board.

The AI data centers need to be co-located next to utility plants like the Campbell, and much of the profit generated from them needs to go into subsidizing local electricity rates. They must be built to meet all of the environmental conditions to do no harm to local citizens, but even help the environmental condition of local citizens.

It is a big mistake to put one’s head in the sand and to seek indefinite moratoria on AI data centers, just like it is a mistake to place moratoria on guns. Both guns and AI data centers have good and legitimate uses, and we just need to make sure the good and legitimate uses prevail and not the bad uses. We certainly cannot allow communist China to move forward with AI, while the USA stagnates. That would be militarily and economically dangerous for the USA.

The Net Zero agenda is also an impediment to successful implementation of the AI revolution. AI data centers require large quantities of reliable electric generation; solar and wind simply cannot supply in Michigan what is needed to accomplish this.

We need to keep local citizens firmly in control of AI, and fully employed so doing. We should not allow a situation to develop where American citizens receive government welfare while AI does all of the work. That is the surest path to American slavery.

By God’s grace, AI can be a blessing for Americans rather than a curse. We have a human responsibility to make sure that is the case.
